Time is the Greatest Healer

Our evolutionary past has equipped us with emotions which do everything from heightening our senses in times of danger to making us feel guilty when doing wrong to a fellow human. Emotions play a huge part in the way we conduct out lives, interact socially, and most importantly how productive we are.

Positive emotions  can also have a great impact on a persons life. Positive feelings and emotions can drive a person to accomplish whatever they desire. They can improve productivity and allow a person to think in a manner which makes every situation an opportunity rather than an ordeal. (continue reading…)


It shouldn’t Haunt You

You are Human after all


We all get caught up in life’s little moments. Whether it be a fight with your family or with your lover there is almost always some sort of tension at one point or another. Tempers can flare and it leaves both people feeling like complete assholes afterward. I think that everyone should remember that it’s not that bad. I know it’s a cliche’ but it’s the truth. Shit happens and in the end learning to deal with it and learn from it is the only way to overcome it.

In my life I have had more than my fair share of bullshit and drama occur its not fun, and it’s not the type of thing I want to remember. At the end of the day what effects our personalities the most is a simply combination of the bad shit that we endure. The bad shit that we have to deal with, whether we face it head on or avoid it is what defines our character for better or worse.

It all comes down to the fact that all of the bad things that have happened to you should never been looked at as a means of sympathy. When these things occur we are always better for them if we learn how we can change so this crap won’t happen again. What I think most people don’t do after a stressful situation or a bad time in their life it try to understand how it happened and how they reacted towards it. Life seems complicated at times, I’m not denying that for a second but it becomes a lot easier when you try and understand how your actions effect the way you feel and the way others view you.

Don’t let your past haunt you, let it redefine how you react and act towards the world and the people in it. Dwelling on the past can be emotionally crippling and unless we don’t try to learn from it we will never overcome it. Taking a situation head on and dealing with it will make you feel so much better. I can’t even begin to explain the relief that is granted to a person who attacks their problems, it’s the biggest weight off your shoulders, the strongest feeling of triumph you will ever experience. I promise. :]
